DESCRIPTION:Arts Without Borders Present KATHA – Stories told through dance. \nLife is a tapestry of stories woven with threads of emotions\, thoughts\, and experiences that connect us as human beings. Arts Without Borders is on a mission to tell these stories through dance no matter whose stories they are\, what they are about\, and where they are from. Driven by this mission\, we proudly present Katha- stories of seemingly ordinary people\, doing extraordinary things once they decide to stand up against the marginalization and discrimination they face and reclaim their identity. The first performance is a Bharatanatyam dance which draws on the ancient Hindu concept of ARDHANARESHWAR\, or the symbolic unity between the male and the female\, and through a skit called “Docile to Durga” makes a statement against domestic violence.
